Engine mountings B230 Volvo 700/900 (1988-)

Vibrations in the steering wheel and gear lever at idle, or a thud when the motor loads up, can point to worn engine mounts on the B230 cars. The rubber hardens and cracks over the years, and the motor then moves more than it should in its mountings – a common check point during service on the 700/900.
