Fuel System Volvo 260 (B27E) (1976-78)

Hardened fuel hoses, a smell of gas in the engine bay and stiffened O-rings are common problems on the B27E, the 2,664 cc V6 fitted to the 262/264/265 in 1976-78. When the rubber dries out it can start to leak at connections and fuel pipes, and a sluggish cold start can point to the supply pressure not being held.

This group includes fuel pipes and fuel hose, hose and hose clamps for routing to the injection system, as well as injection valves for even distribution across the six cylinders. For the sealing work there are O-rings, copper washers and hollow screws that are best replaced at the same time to keep the joints tight on reassembly.

A common checkpoint during a rebuild is to renew all copper washers and O-rings when the hollow screws and fuel pipes are loosened – reused material tends to start weeping again. The parts here are limited to the B27E 1976-78, so check the engine code and model year before ordering.
