Dry copper washers at the hollow screws and brittle fuel pipes are classic leak points on the V6 injection – often noticed as a smell of gas in the engine bay or moisture around the nipple connections. The parts here fit Volvo 240/260 with the V6 engines B27E and B28E, where the routing and connections of the pipes differ from the four-cylinder B21/B23.

For this job the common parts are fuel pipes, copper washers and hollow screws for the seals, plus nipples, clamps and brackets that hold the pipes in place. The group also includes the fuel filter and frequency valve for the injection system. When you replace a pipe it is good practice to always renew the copper washers – reused washers are a recurring cause of leaks afterward. At the same time, check that the clamps are secure so the pipes don't chafe against the body or block.
