The group includes throttle cables and throttle control cable, return springs, control rods, ball joints, kickdown cable as well as screws and nuts for mounting. During a rebuild the ball joints and joints in the control rod are a common point to check at the same time as the cable is replaced – a single worn joint can leave residual dead travel even with a new wire. On cars with kickdown, that cable should also be adjusted so the gearbox gets the correct downshift point.
Because B19, B20F, B21 and B23E differ in carburetor and fuel injection, it is the engine variant and linkage design that determine which parts fit.
