This category gathers block and sealing parts for the Volvo 240 with the 2.3-liter four-cylinder B23 – one of the red blocks in the OHC family. The group includes freeze plugs, completion kits, soot cleaning kits, gaskets, plugs, studs, plugs and o-rings. During a block rebuild, the freeze plugs in particular are worth extra scrutiny: if they sit for a long time behind the exhaust manifold or in coolant channels, they can corrode from the inside. Always check that the parts are intended for the B23 and not the later B230 version, since gasket and sealing details can differ between the red block generations.
