Vibrations and clunking under acceleration often come from a dry centre bearing or worn U-joints in the propeller shaft. On the 1800 the wear points are in the bearing rubber, the centre bearing and the universal joints, and the right part depends on the engine generation – early B18B/B20B/F differs from the injected B20E/ES.
