Throttle control linkage Volvo 164 (B30A) (-1972)

Play in the throttle linkage and a gas pedal that feels sluggish or sticks are classic symptoms of worn ball joints and bushings in the control. On the 164 with the B30A carburetor engine, there is a mechanical rod system that develops play over the years, which can cause uneven throttle response and a hard-to-adjust idle – the ball joints and grommets are therefore worth checking during a restoration.

This category gathers wear parts and mounting components for the throttle linkage on the B30A up to 1972. The group includes ball joints, bushings, throttle disc, coupling, grommet, as well as screws, flange screws and nuts. Since the B30A is carburetor-fed – the D-Jetronic injection first came with the B30E in 1972 – the control parts differ from the later fuel-injected 164, so check the engine code and model year before ordering.
