Throttle control linkage Volvo 140 (B20E/F) (1967-72)

A stiff gas pedal, an idle that hangs, or throttle response that won't release cleanly can point to worn ball joints and stretched return springs in the linkage. On the B20E with Bosch electronic injection, which arrived in 1971, friction-free and play-free control is especially important because the throttle position governs the setting.

This category gathers the parts for the throttle linkage itself between the pedal and the carburetor/throttle housing. The group includes return springs, ball joints, control rods, bushings and retaining clips, plus screw, nut and cable. Play in the bushings and ball joints is a common check point during a rebuild – replacing them together with the return spring makes the throttle travel smooth again.

The design follows the engine and model year, so check the fit against your B20E/F within 1967-72 before ordering.
