On the fuel-injected B30E/B30F cars with D-Jetronic, healthy ignition cables and clean contacts are especially important for stable running.
During a restoration, grommets through sheet metal are a typical check point – a cracked rubber grommet chafes through the insulation and can cause a ground fault. Also check that the fuse holders are free from corrosion before you refit the wiring.
