Propeller shaft support bearing for Volvo PV, Duett
37 kr
Vibrations that increase with speed or a clunking noise when you get on the gas can point to worn universal joints or a tired centre bearing in the propeller shaft. On the 444/445 with a B4B or B16 motor, these are points worth checking when the car has stood for a long time or covered many miles without lubrication.

This group includes universal joints, centre bearing, grease nipple, bushings, and mounting hardware such as the nut, spring washer, lock washer and bolt set. The universal joints should feel free of play when you turn the shaft by hand, and the centre bearing should sit without slop in its rubber mount. Grease nipples serve to keep the universal joints lubricated – a worn nipple that won't take grease accelerates the wear. Always check the design and dimensions against your shaft before replacement, as parts vary between model years.
