Repair kit Carburetor SU HS6 (Needle not included)

Rough idle, an overly rich mixture or poor sync between the front and rear carburetor are classic symptoms of worn SU H6 units on a B18 with twin carburettors. Wear in the metering needles and sticking pistons makes the mixture wander, and leaking gaskets between the carburetor and intake cause false air and a hard-to-adjust idle.

This category gathers the wear parts and sealing details for rebuilding and adjusting the SU H6 pair on the B18B/D. The group includes metering needles, springs, screws, gaskets, washers, spring washers, retainers and bushings. During an overhaul, the metering needle profile, the damper springs and the gaskets against the intake manifold are typical check points – replacing them at the same time makes it easier to get both carburettors to breathe alike. The B18 with 1778 cc and a five-bearing crank got its twin-SU feed in the stronger version, and the right needles are crucial for both cold starting and smooth throttle response.
