Low oil pressure, knocking main bearings or bluish-red exhaust smoke under acceleration are classic signs of a worn crank assembly in the small 1414 cc engine. When a B4B from the 444 years is being rebuilt, it is the rotating assembly itself – crankshaft, bearings, pistons and cam drive – that determines how long the motor lasts after reassembly.
