Mastercylinder Volvo 544/210 (1958-60) (Ch 207866-)

A sinking pedal that slowly goes to the floor, or a pedal that feels spongy after a longer period standing still, can point to worn seals in the master brake cylinder. On the 544/210 from chassis 207866 the brakes work in a single-circuit system, which makes the cylinder's condition especially important – an internal leak pulls down the pressure in the whole circuit and should therefore be checked carefully during a rebuild.
