Cracked and hardened window seals are a classic problem on the 444 – when the rubber lets go, moisture creeps in behind the seal and causes rust to start eating into window frames and sheet-metal edges. The split, flat windshield and rear window on the 444 (1947–1958) also place different demands on the seal profile than the later curved single pane, so profile and split must match when replacing.

This group includes rubber seals and seals for the windshield and rear window, piping for the frame, stone-chip rubber and textile trim, plus auto body sealer and the mounting kit needed when the glass is to be refitted. During restoration it's worth checking the sheet-metal seam under the old seal before fitting a new seal – if there's rust there, the leak continues regardless of a new rubber seal.
