Volvo PV/Duett Cowl section

Rust in the lower cowl panel and around the grommets is a classic weak point on older 544 and 445, as water and dirt collect in the seam between the engine bay and cabin. When the panel corrodes, leaking grommets for the pedal assembly, heater core and wiring harness often come along with it. Sheet metal pieces, mountings and seals in the cowl section differ between the early 444/445 cars and the later 544/210, which determines which parts fit.
