Volvo Amazon Gas throttle linkage
A stiff accelerator pedal, play in the linkage, or a throttle arm that won't fully return is often down to worn joints, weak return springs, and dry bushings in the throttle control. On the 122, both the engine and the steering side determine which parts fit – the geometry of the lever arms differs between left-hand drive (LHD) and right-hand drive (RHD) versions, and between the carburetor setups of the B16, B18, and B20 engines. The Estate (220) also has its own details.
