Play in the ball joints and worn levers give uneven throttle response and a pedal that won't return cleanly – classic symptoms of a tired throttle linkage. On the 122 with the 118 bhp B20B (in the range from August 1968 during the model's last two model years) the control sits mechanically between the pedal and the carburetor, and every bit of play in the joints is amplified out to the throttle.

This category includes parts to freshen up the whole linkage: ball joints, levers, screw, nut and washer, securing coupling, and a grommet set for the pass-through in the cowl plate. There is also a throttle disc here for when the throttle itself needs replacing. During a refurbishment, worn ball joints and a worn-out securing coupling are typical things to check – replace them at the same time so the throttle runs smoothly without binding and the pedal returns reliably to idle.
