When rebuilding, it's worth replacing hoses and clamps in pairs – an old hose that looks intact tends to crack shortly after its neighbor is replaced, since the rubber has hardened just as much. Check the thermostat too: one that sticks closed quickly causes overheating, while one stuck open keeps the engine too cold and hurts fuel economy.
