Gear box mountings Volvo 240/260 (M45)

Vibration in the floor, a clunk when shifting or a gearbox that hangs at an angle can point to tired rubber in the mounting. On the 240/260 with the manual M45, the member and gearbox pad support the rear part of the gearbox, and when the rubber begins to crack or separate from the plate, more movement is carried through into the cabin – a common check point when overhauling the driveline.
