Rust in the tie plates, around the spare wheel container and along the lower body edges are classic inspection points on the 262C – the Bertone coupe built 1977–1981. Once the old plate has been cut away, both load-bearing reinforcements and smaller mounting parts are needed for the weld seam to sit correctly.
