Volvo P1800 Choke throttle linkage

A sluggish cold start, a choke cable that binds or won't hold its position – these are classic symptoms when the old choke control is worn on an 1800 with twin SU carburettors. Since the B18B and B20B draw fuel/air through carburettors, they need a working choke to enrich the mixture until the engine reaches operating temperature. The controls differ between engine generations, so cable length and mounting are determined by whether the car has the B18 (P1800/1800S) or the later B20B (1800S from 1969).
