The group includes exterior mirrors, anchorage screws, washers and nuts plus shims and a rod plate that take up play and aim the mirror correctly. Since Jensen built the early cars and production later moved to Lundby, the attachment points and plate design vary between early and later examples – an exploded view of the attachment is a good aid for keeping the screw, washer and rod plate apart during restoration. A typical checkpoint is that the anchorage screw and rod plate sit against sound metal without any beginning rust. When replacing, it is worth fitting the shim and washer together, so that the mirror holds its position while driving.
