Heater valve for Volvo 140, 164, 240, 260 1973-93 with A/C

Weak cabin heat, a heater valve dripping coolant or a control that no longer regulates the temperature are classic symptoms on the late 164 cars. When the vacuum bellow loses its seal the air shutters stop responding, and then turning the controls rarely helps.

This group includes parts for the entire circuit: heater valves, vacuum bellows for shutter control, heat hoses and T-Pipes, grommets, plus screws and washers for mounting. There are also repair kits that let you refresh an existing unit instead of replacing everything.
A common inspection point during restoration is that the area around the heater valve often starts to weep where the hose meets the T-Pipe – replace the hose, valve and seal at the same time so you avoid recurring leaks and a foggy windshield. These parts apply to late 164 cars with the updated instrument panel.
