A humming or grinding noise that changes when cornering, or noticeable play when the wheel is rocked, are common check points on the front hubs. On the 140 the front suspension uses double control arms and front disc brakes, and the tapered wheel bearings are preloaded with a castle nut – a bearing setup that needs the right grease and correct torque to last.
