The group includes hinges and a cover plate for the mounting, a gas spring that holds the hatch open, a rubber seal for the sealing as well as a lock brace, plate molding, screw and washer for mounting and finish. Plate moldings and cover plates are worth an extra look during restoration – the edges around the hatch are a known rust spot, and a dried-out rubber seal is often the cause behind moisture and odor in the cargo area.
Since the 145 is the five-door model with a large tailgate, the parts here differ from those of the 142 and 144 sedans.
