Loose hinges, sticking locks and rusty anchorages are the classic wear points on the trunk lid of a 142 or 144 sedan from 1967-72. When the lid hangs crooked or won't close properly, the fault is often in a worn hinge half or in anchorages that have rusted loose from the plate.

The selection covers the parts around the lid mounting and locking itself: hinge halves, anchorages and tube pins for the suspension, plus locks, key blanks, lock washers and matching screw, washer and cross recessed screw. The families make it possible to replace individual worn parts rather than the whole mechanism.
During renovation, hinge play and lock function are typical checkpoints – an oiled lock and fresh anchorage screws give an even fit and a tight close. Keep in mind that the 145 is an estate with a tailgate, while the 142 and 144 have the separate trunk lid that these parts belong to.
