Rear light Volvo PV 444 (1957)

A cracked taillight lens, a dried-out and shrunken rubber seal or corroded bulb sockets are among the first things to cause failing rear lighting on a 444 of the 1957 model year. This category gathers taillight parts for exactly this model year – bulb sockets, taillight lenses and complete taillight kits, rubber seal, seal, loose lenses, bezel and bulbs.

Keep in mind that the 1957 444 still has a 6-volt electrical system; the switch to 12 volt did not come until 1961. This determines which bulbs fit, so the voltage of the bulbs is an important check point before ordering. While the lens is removed anyway, the rubber seal and bezel are worth looking over – brittle seals easily let in moisture that causes continued corrosion in the bulb socket.
