Mounting Generator Volvo PV/Duett (B18)

If the battery loses voltage at idle or the generator charges irregularly, the fault often lies in the voltage regulator that controls the generator's output. On the 544 and 445 with B18, the regulator is part of the 12-volt system, but the design can differ between model years – check which version your car has, since 6-volt cars use a completely different governor and the two cannot be mixed.
