This group includes repair sheet metal such as door plate and door bottom for welding work, plus the mechanism in the door lock case: lock case, Lock Spring and the split pins that hold the locking movement together. The assembly also includes screws, spring washers and the rubber stop that cushions the door against the body.
When restoring a 544 door, the Lock Spring and split pins are typical inspection points – they wear and cause play or stiff closing. Replace the rubber stop at the same time so the door seals cleanly against the weatherstrip and does not chafe the paint.
