Radiator element for Volvo Amazon, B16, 1957-60
443 kr
Cracking radiator hoses, a thermostat that sticks in the closed position or leaking clamps are classic problems on the early B16 cars, where the 1.5-litre OHV engine and the rubber of the era rarely last sixty years without drying out and becoming brittle. This category gathers cooling system parts that fit the Volvo 122 with the B16 engine from 1957 until the B18 and the 12-volt system took over in August 1961.

The group includes thermostats, radiator hoses and hose clamps together with gaskets as well as screw, nut, washer and spring washer for mountings. When overhauling the cooling system it is worth replacing the thermostat and all the hoses in one go – a sluggish thermostat easily causes overheating in summer heat while the engine never reaches operating temperature on a cold start, which puts unnecessary wear on a B16 that already runs hot in city traffic.
