Trim mouldings Volvo Amazon (B16)
Loosening fasteners, rusty mounting nuts and chrome moldings that start rattling against the sheet metal are typical wear points on the early 122 cars with the B16 motor (1956–1961). When a molding loses its grip it wanders sideways, collects moisture beneath it and can hide developing rust along the fender edge and door side – which is why it is the mounting details just as often as the molding itself that need replacing during restoration.
