Volvo B280
The B280 is the 2,849 cc V6 with overhead camshafts, and it differs considerably in design from the four-cylinder B230 – chain drive, twin cylinder heads and a more sensitive lubricating circuit place their own demands during overhaul. Oil leaks at cylinder head joints, worn chain tensioners and a tired valve mechanism are common check points when the V6 begins to run unevenly or gets louder.
