The B280 is the 2,849 cc V6 with overhead camshafts, and it differs considerably in design from the four-cylinder B230 – chain drive, twin cylinder heads and a more sensitive lubricating circuit place their own demands during overhaul. Oil leaks at cylinder head joints, worn chain tensioners and a tired valve mechanism are common check points when the V6 begins to run unevenly or gets louder. The parts are grouped per subsystem so the right family is found for the B280:
