Volvo 700 Front suspension
Sagging ride height on the driver's side and worn tapered bushings in the tie rods are among the most common findings under a 740/760/780. The front suspension is built on MacPherson struts with rack-and-pinion steering, and both suspension and steering wear gradually – often noticeable as vague steering feel, a clunk over bumps or an uneven body stance. When rebuilding the front suspension, the shock absorbers, coil springs, control arm bushings and front wheel bearings are typical check points.
