Crankcase ventilation Volvo 740 (B200/B230)
Oil mist at the oil filler, leaking gaskets or an engine that sweats oil can point to a clogged crankcase ventilation – a classic wear item on the B200K and B230K in the 740. When the oil catcher cokes up, pressure builds in the crankcase and forces oil past the seals, so the condition of the hoses and the flame shield is worth a check.
