When renovating the lamp it is worth checking both the glass sealing gasket and the bulb socket's contact plate – loose material and a corroded base often cause flashing faults or a dead lamp before the bulb itself is spent. Since the front and glass changed during the model run, it pays to start from the chassis number for the correct fit.
