Overheating in summer, a thermostat stuck in the closed position or cracked radiator hoses are classic reasons to go through the cooling system on a 240 with the B20 engine. When the rubber turns hard and porous it often leaks at the hose connections and hose clamps long before the radiator itself gives up.

The selection covers the parts that belong specifically to the B20 version of the 240: radiator, radiator hoses and hose clamps, thermostat as well as gaskets, gasket sets and seal rings. During an overhaul it is worth replacing the hoses in pairs and checking the hose clamps at the same time – new screws and clamps provide even contact pressure and reduce the risk of fresh leaks. A sluggish or incorrectly opening thermostat gives either too low an operating temperature or overheating, and is a cheap point to check before suspecting larger faults.
