Since the series has hydraulic disc brakes on all four wheels, the entire braking action rests on sealed lines – a porous hose that bulges under pressure or a corroded pipe is directly dangerous in traffic.

There are also flange nuts and screws for the mountings, plus plastilube for sliding surfaces and threads. When replacing, it's worth checking the corrosion at the pipe clamps and that the new hoses don't chafe against the shock absorber or control arms when the wheel is turned to full lock.
