Parking Brake
A hand brake that won't hold on a hill or feels slack at the lever is usually down to worn hand brake shoes inside the hub of the rear brake disc, a sticking expander or a stretched cable. On the 240/260 the hand brake works as a drum brake in the hub despite disc brakes all round, so the wear parts differ from the ordinary service brake.
