The group includes screw, flange screw, nut, lock nut and washer along with clamp, lock brace and air nipple for bleeding. When overhauling the calipers the air nipple is a typical checkpoint – a clogged or snapped-off nipple makes bleeding impossible and forces a replacement. Clamps and lock braces hold the brake lines firmly against the body and axles so they don't chafe or vibrate loose. Replacing tired fasteners at the same time as the calipers and hoses are overhauled saves both time and the risk of leaks further down the road.
