Brake Lines

Rusty brake pipes under the sill or at the rear axle are a classic inspection fault on the 240/260, especially where pipes sit unprotected against road spray and winter slush. Since the series has hydraulic disc brakes all around, the lines run the full length front and rear, and a pitted section or a leaking joint quickly shows up as a soft pedal or a dropping fluid level.
