Bumpers Volvo 1800 (1965-)
Chrome-plated bumpers on the 1800S tend to collect moisture behind the mounting brackets, and that's where rust starts eating in long before the chrome bubbles up on the outside. When the attachment works loose, the front starts to shake and the alignment becomes uneven – a classic check during a restoration is to loosen the mounting brackets and look for rusted-through fastening points in the sheet metal.

This category gathers parts for both front and rear bumpers on the 1800S from 1965 onward. The group includes complete bumpers, mounting brackets and mounting kits as well as small parts such as screws, nuts, washers, spring washers and grommets – everything needed to mount and adjust a bumper to the correct height.
The spring washers keep tension in the joints so vibration doesn't loosen the attachment, and the grommets protect the sheet-metal edge where the mounting brackets pass through the body. When fitting, it pays to replace the whole small-parts kit at the same time – old nuts and washers are often seized with rust and twist apart during removal.
