Rubber strip set, front and rear doors, for Volvo 144, 145, 164, 244

A sluggish window regulator, a leaking door seal and rattling protective strips are among the most common wear points on the front doors of a 140. When the rubber hardens it lets in moisture and wind, and a crooked or worn regulator channel makes the window stick sideways. This category gathers the small parts that get the door mechanism and seal working again.

The group includes rubber seals and gaskets against moisture and draught, protective strips that wipe off the window, regulator channels that guide the window, plus lock buttons with their accompanying springs, washers and screw for mounting. During a restoration it pays to replace the rubber seal and gasket while the door is already apart – that way you avoid having to open up the interior trim in several rounds. Also check the mounting points of the regulator channel, as wear there is often the real reason the window runs sluggishly.
