Cracked taillight lenses, discolored bezels and corroded bulb sockets are among the most common faults on a 122 with B18/B20 from 1963-70. The lens yellows and cracks from UV and age, while moisture in the light unit can cause poor contact and flickering light – a good reason to check the gasket and contact surfaces at the same time as the bulb is replaced.
