Ignition Miscellaneous Volvo 900

An engine that loses its spark once it has warmed up, but starts again after cooling down, can point to a heat-sensitive ignition module – a common checkpoint on the 900 series before you condemn the ignition coil or a sensor. This category gathers the ignition parts that do not belong to coils and plugs in their own group.

The group includes ignition modules, mounting clamps and glow plugs. Since the 900 (940/960) was built with several engine variants over the years, the engine code and model year determine which version fits, so always compare against the existing part when replacing. If you are looking for an ignition coil or ignition lock instead, you will find them in their own groups. Worn clamps and poorly secured modules can also cause intermittent faults that are hard to trace – check the mounting and contact surfaces at the same time as the component is replaced.
