Knocking control arms over speed bumps, a front end that pulls to one side or sagging springs that bottom out – these are typical signs of worn front suspension on an 850. Since the car is built around a transverse five-cylinder engine with front-wheel drive, much of the steering and suspension is gathered at the front, which makes the wear points easy to check on a service lift.
