Crankcase Ventilation Oil Trap Volvo 850, S70, V70 10V (1992–2000)

Oil separator, also known as an oil trap, for Volvo 850, S70 and V70 with a 5-cylinder 10-valve engine. The oil trap is an important part of the crankcase ventilation system and collects oil vapors and deposits from the engine.

Over time, the oil trap fills up with dirt and oil residue. If it becomes clogged, the crankcase ventilation system may not work properly, which can lead to excessive pressure in the engine and, in some cases, oil leaks. Replacing the oil trap at regular intervals helps keep the crankcase ventilation system working as intended.

 

Fits the following Volvo models

• Volvo 850 5-cylinder 10-valve engine, from 1993

• Volvo S70 all 5-cylinder 10-valve engines, 1997–2000

• Volvo V70 all 5-cylinder 10-valve engines, 1997–2000

 

Important Information

Fits vehicles equipped with a 10-valve engine only.

Always compare the appearance of the oil trap with the unit currently installed on the vehicle before ordering.

If the original oil trap with part number 6842718 is being replaced for the first time, it is also recommended to replace the inlet hose with part number 1271653 or 1271771. This oil trap replaces the earlier version.
