Rusty brake pipes at the wheel housing and rear axle, along with cracking in old rubber hoses, are common inspection points on the early 740/760/780 with ABS. On right-hand drive cars the pipe routing is mirrored compared with left-hand drive, so fitment is governed both by chassis (-1987) and by the car having an ABS block.
