Important Information

Always check the part number on your existing mass air flow sensor before ordering.

Inside the air filter box there is a thermostat (1266826) that automatically controls the warm and cold air flap. If the thermostat is faulty, the engine may continuously draw hot air from the exhaust manifold. This can lead to driveability problems and may damage the mass air flow sensor. Check this component to eliminate a possible cause of sensor failure.

 

Installation

Inspect the air filter, intake hoses and electrical connectors when replacing the sensor. Ensure that the intake system is properly sealed to allow the sensor to operate correctly.
