Belt transmission Volvo D24 (-1993)

Cracking, frayed edges and a hardened rubber surface on the timing belt are classic inspection points on the D24 motor in the Volvo 740/760 up to 1993. Since the belt controls the valve timing, a timely replacement is one of the most important service tasks on these cars – a worn belt should be replaced together with the associated bolted connections so that everything sits with the correct torque afterwards.
