Loosening hub caps, corroded wheel nuts and scratched wheel trims are among the things that often turn up when changing a wheel on a 240 or 260. Worn retaining tabs on the caps and the wrong nut type against the rim are typical checkpoints – steel and alloy wheels take different wheel nuts and bolts, so it pays to match the design to the model year before ordering.
